Job summary

Metric Geo in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead roadway/highway design projects within its transportation practice. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, client relationships, budgets and schedules from planning through construction.

Ideal candidate has 15+ years in transportation/civil engineering, a PE license (Illinois preferred or obtainable within 6 months), and strong leadership, communication and technical writing skills. Travel about 20% is expected.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in transportation/civil engineering.
5+ years of project management and client interface experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Illinois PE preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary transportation project teams, including engineers and consultants.
Manage projects from conceptual planning through final design and construction.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
Oversee roadway design and construction activities in line with standards.
Serve as primary client contact and manage stakeholder communications.
Mentor junior engineers and staff.
Travel approximately 20%.
