We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our Roadway/Highway Design team. This opportunity can be based out of any of our Indiana offices. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with experience working on LPA and/or INDOT roadway design projects. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local public agencies and state DOT’s.

In this position, the candidate will:

  • Work on a variety of DOT and/or LPA roadway/highway projects.
  • Supports project managers in the planning and execution of engineering projects.
  • Takes a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation.
  • Manages project tasks, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Delegates work to project team members.
  • Coordinates with clients to understand project requirements and expectations.
  • Performs detailed engineering analysis and design tasks.
  • Assists with proposals or funding applications.
  • Mentors junior engineers and provides technical guidance.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant codes, standards,
  • May perform other duties associated with this role.

Qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools and software.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Driver's License
