Job summary

CBS² in Wisconsin seeks an experienced Transportation Design Leader to guide design and delivery of roadway projects from concept through final design. You will own plan production, advance Civil 3D design, and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians in a collaborative environment focused on quality and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 6+ years of transportation engineering, with focus on roadway design and plan production.
• Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related design tools.
• Experience with roadway alignments and transportation design standards (WISDOT/local).
• Strong time management and multi-project capability.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design and plan production for roadway projects.
• Develop detailed roadway designs with horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, quantities, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to meet scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers, EITs, and CAD technicians.
• Review work for quality and adherence to standards.
