Job summary

CBS² is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer to support the development of transportation and roadway projects, with a focus on WisDOT work, from concept through construction. This is a full-time role based out of any of our five locations.

You’ll contribute to roadway design, plan development, and project documentation, working closely with project managers and senior designers. You’ll gain hands-on experience in both office and field settings, supporting design calculations, drafting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation or civil engineering design.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or FE exam completed.
• Working knowledge of roadway design principles and fundamentals.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of roadway and transportation projects (horizontal and vertical alignments).
• Prepare 2D and 3D roadway designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Support construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Perform quantity calculations and assist in cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers and senior staff to meet goals and deadlines.
