Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP seeks a motivated Civil Engineering intern to join the Transportation Engineering team. You will gain hands-on experience in highway design, assist with plans, and support cost estimates under licensed engineers.

The internship offers exposure to real-world challenges, CAD drafting, and interdisciplinary collaboration with traffic, structural, and environmental engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Exposure to engineering software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of highway and roadway projects under licensed engineers.
• Support preparation of construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and CAD drafting with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
