Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway Intern to gain real-world experience by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations.

You will work under the guidance of a senior-level engineer to assist with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects, connect with recent graduates and leaders through mentoring programs, and participate in community service events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.
• Prefer local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience by applying standard Engineering techniques and procedures through the creation and submission of technical reports, plans, specifications and calculations.
• Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist the team with detailed designs of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
• Participate with local colleagues in community service events and activities.
• Perform other duties as needed.
