Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Highway Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. You will assist with roadway design, learn CADD software, and apply NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority and county design standards in a professional project team setting.

Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, you will work on contract documents, leverage AutoCAD or MicroStation, and develop strong written and verbal communication skills while collaborating in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering.
• Familiarity with NJDOT and NJ Turnpike Authority design standards.
• Familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD.
• Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Design and preparation of contract documents for roadway improvement projects.
• Apply AASHTO, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority and county design standards.
