Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Transportation Roadway Intern to join our Design & Engineering teams in Tennessee. You will be mentored by technical experts in roadway transportation design and will prepare conceptual designs, construction plans, and traffic data collection using OpenRoads and MicroStation across Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Nashville.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and an EIT certification, with exposure to highway geometry,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
EIT certification.
Experience using OpenRoads.
Understanding of geometric and traffic operations principles per AASHTO, MUTCD, and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual designs and construction plans using OpenRoads.
Create geometric design of highways and streets and drainage design.
Assist with transportation planning reports, roadway safety studies, and traffic engineering projects.
Gather traffic and highway field data and use MicroStation and related software.
