Job summary

American Structurepoint’s Road Group is offering a summer internship in Evansville, IN. As a Road Intern, you’ll join a close-knit team on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties, performing quantity takeoffs and preparing design documents.

You will gain hands-on experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer ORD, 3D modeling, and cost estimates while contributing to projects from roundabouts to interstate upgrades.

Qualifications

• Current student majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or related program.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Get involved in a wide variety of projects - everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects
• Other duties as assigned
