Job summary
American Structurepoint in Evansville, IN is seeking a Road Engineering Intern to join our summer internship program. As a Road Intern you will work on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns and counties, primarily in-office with some site visits, helping with quantity takeoffs, design documentation, and construction cost estimates.
You will gain hands-on experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, GEOPAK, and related tools, and contribute to projects ranging from interstates to urban
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering related degree.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office.
- Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to roadway design, calculations, layouts, drainage, plan production, and quantity/cost estimates.
- Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Get involved in projects ranging from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
