Job summary

American Structurepoint in Evansville, IN is seeking a Road Engineering Intern to join our summer internship program. As a Road Intern you will work on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns and counties, primarily in-office with some site visits, helping with quantity takeoffs, design documentation, and construction cost estimates.

You will gain hands-on experience with MicroStation OpenRoads Designer, GEOPAK, and related tools, and contribute to projects ranging from interstates to urban

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Civil Engineering related degree.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design, calculations, layouts, drainage, plan production, and quantity/cost estimates.
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Get involved in projects ranging from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

American Structurepoint's Road Group is seeking candidates to join us for our summer internship program in Evansville, IN! As a Road Intern, you'll work as part of a close-knit team on roadway projects for INDOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Indiana. Most of your work will take place in the office, with occasional site visits, as you assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions, rural maintenance, and roundabouts, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation projects.
