Job summary

USI Consultants, Inc., an Indiana-based civil engineering and surveying firm, seeks a self-motivated Transportation Engineer to join our Roadway Design Team throughout Indiana. You will perform transportation and geometric roadway design, plan development, public presentation, and related tasks for Local Public Agency and INDOT projects.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSCE in Civil Engineering, Indiana PE licensure eligibility, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Autodesk Civil 3D and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BSCE) in Civil Engineering.
• Indiana Professional Engineer Licensure or the eligibility to obtain.
• Working knowledge of INDOT Design Manual standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for transportation and geometric roadway design, plan development, public presentation, specification writing, drainage calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimating, utility coordination, permitting, and technical report writing.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team on Local Public Agency and INDOT projects
• Effectively communicate project status items to the Road Design Team and clients.
• Assist in the recruitment of new talent and contribute to a positive company culture.

Education

BSCE in Civil Engineering

Indiana Professional Engineer Licensure or eligibility

Strong written and verbal communication skills
