Job summary

Butler, Fairman & Seufert in Indianapolis seeks a Transportation Engineer - E-I to join our Indiana office and contribute to a wide range of civil transportation projects, including road reconstruction, rehabilitation and traffic-improvement programs.

You will prepare calculations, drawings, figures and reports for roadway projects; analyze geometrics, drainage and pavement designs; review maps and data; and collaborate with staff and clients while developing your professional skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• Indiana EIT license or ability to obtain one.
• 3–5 years of road/transportation experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, drawings, figures, reports, and presentations for roadway and transportation projects.
• Prepare calculations for geometrics, drainage and pavement designs.
• Analyze drawings, maps, tests and topographical data to plan and design projects.
• Perform engineering tasks under supervision and seek guidance when needed.
• Perform other assigned duties.
