Job summary
STV, Inc. is seeking a Roadway Engineering Specialist in Pennsylvania to design and refine 3D roadway models using MicroStation Inroads and OpenRoads Designer. The role supports transportation projects across multiple PA locations, including Philadelphia.
The position emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, producing detailed drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with PennDOT, AASHTO, and FHWA standards. Experience with traffic control and ITS is valued.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- FE exam completed or passed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine 3D models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and cross-sections for transportation projects.
- Mentor and train junior engineers in highway geometry and modeling software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design elements into project plans.
- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for roadway, highway, and transit projects.
- Conduct design reviews, constructability checks, and quality control.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and client communications for effective delivery.
- Stay current with OpenRoads software trends and apply improvements to projects.
