Roadway Design Engineer in Training (EIT)

Job summary

HDR is looking for a Roadway EIT/Designer in Phoenix, AZ. You will join a team designing urban and rural roadways, taking charge of alignment, profiles, drainage, plans and estimates to support construction.

Preferred candidates hold an EIT and are proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with experience in Bentley ConceptStation and OpenRoads Designer or InfraWorks/Civil3D to advance design quality. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
• EIT certificate preferred and active participation in employee-owned culture.
• Experience with highway/road design software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates.
• Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
