Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Roads + Highways projects in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee design, budgets, and schedules from concept to completion, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and agencies.

Ideal candidates have ORD proficiency, a Civil Engineering degree, and a strong background in roadway geometry, drainage, and safety design. This hybrid role offers growth opportunities, competitive compensation, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in GA preferred but not required.
• Experience with ORD (OpenRoads Designer) for roadway/transportation design.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level expertise in roadway design for Georgia state and regional projects.
• Manage task lifecycles including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance.
• Lead roadway design including geometric design, grading, and drainage plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate ORD workflows for efficient delivery.
• Build and maintain client and agency relationships, including GDOT.
• Develop project schedules and oversee staff to ensure timely completion.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff in ORD and project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with TYLin, GDOT, and industry standards via QC measures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and management challenges to optimize workflows.
