Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Civil Engineer with roadway design expertise to join our Alpharetta team. You will contribute to state and local transportation projects using MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads, delivering plans that meet client needs and standards.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and a PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months, with readiness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering.
• 5+ years of roadway design or transportation engineering experience.
• GA PE license required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads software a plus.
• GDOT and/or Municipal experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete roadway design plans with limited supervision.
• Work alone and in small groups.
• Use MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads software.
• Assist engineers and designers in the development and production of engineering plans and specifications on transportation projects.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with familiarity with Microsoft Products such as Excel and Outlook.
