Job summary

WSP is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer for our Omaha, NE office to design roadway, transit, and pedestrian facilities and coordinate with drainage and stormwater aspects.

The successful candidate will contribute to plans, specifications, and cost estimates, work with NDOT and local agencies, and mentor junior engineers while advancing complex transportation projects within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or closely related discipline).
• 3–6 years of relevant post-education civil engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
• Proficiency with design software: MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform design tasks for roadway and intersection improvements and pedestrian projects for NDOT, cities, and counties.
• Prepare plans, specs, reports, and cost estimates with plan production and drafting.
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
• Attend client meetings and support presentations to clients.
• Assist in project management including budgets, scheduling, and task coordination.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and collaborate with staff-level engineers.
