WSP is seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineer for our Omaha, NE office to design roadway, pedestrian and intersection improvements and to support public sector projects. You will work with NDOT, cities, and counties, developing plans, specs, and cost estimates while meeting schedule, scope and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has a 3–6 year design background, an Engineering in Training certification, and proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenRoads Designer or Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
• 3 to 6 years of post-education engineering experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with roadway/infrastructure design and public agency projects.
• Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Ability to coordinate with agencies and meet codes and permits.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design roadway, intersection, and pedestrian improvements for NDOT, cities, and counties.
• Prepare plans, specs, reports, and cost estimates.
• Ensure quality with scope, schedule, cost, and risk controls.
• Attend client meetings and assist presentations.
• Support project management including budgets and scheduling.
• Collaborate with engineers and guide entry-level staff.
• Analyze data from sites, GIS, surveys for design decisions.
• Produce data visualizations and technical reports.
• Maintain safety standards and ethics per company policies.
• Assist with business development efforts.
