Job summary

You will support INDOT and local roadway projects, performing quantity takeoffs, creating plan sets using ORD, preparing construction cost estimates, and developing design documentation to build hands-on civil engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or a related program with a focus on Civil Engineering
• Reliable transportation to and from the office
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Get involved in a wide variety of projects‑everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects
• Other duties as assigned
