Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. seeks a Roadway CADD Designer for our Phoenix, AZ office to support municipal and state projects on streets and freeways.

The role requires self-motivation, technical proficiency, and strong communication in a collaborative team environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive AutoCAD Civil 3D experience, Arizona roadway design exposure, and the ability to prepare detailed plan sets, quantity takeoffs, and construction estimates while coordinating with multiple disciplines in a

Qualifications

• Minimum education and five years civil experience required.
• Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D; Arizona municipal/freeway roadway design experience is required.
• Experience reading utility records and creating accurate base files (ASCE Quality Level C/D).
• Experience developing roadway geometry, alignments, plans, details, and cross-section sheets.
• Experience coordinating with other disciplines and preparing construction estimates and takeoffs.
• Experience with multiple design submittals (30%, 60%, 90%, 100%).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist transportation design personnel in developing project designs and deliverables.
• Prepare and check plans and digital project deliverables.
• Develop roadway geometry and base files incorporating survey, utility, ROW, and aerial data.
• Coordinate roadway plans with drainage, structures, and utilities.
