Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Roadway CADD Designer with a strong background in civil roadway design to support municipal and state projects. The candidate will work under senior staff to develop and check plans, perform quantity takeoffs, and integrate survey and utility data.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley platforms is essential; ProjectWise experience a plus. This role requires independent, detail‑driven work in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of civil experience or related field.
• Advanced understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D, with Bentley Design Platforms being a plus.
• Experience with roadway design for municipal and freeway projects in Arizona is required.
• Experience reading utility records and schematics to prepare base files (ASCE Quality Level C/D).
• Experience preparing plans, profiles, typical sections, details and cross-section sheets for roadways.

Responsibilities

• Assist transportation design personnel in developing transportation project designs and construction document deliverables.
• Assist in design and production of municipal and state projects for streets/highways/freeways, including drainage and utilities.
• Prepare and check project plans and digital deliverables.
• Coordinate roadway plans with traffic drainage, structures, and utilities.
