Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Roadway CADD Designer to support transportation design for municipal and state projects. The role involves producing plans, profiles, and cross-sections under supervision of senior staff, with emphasis on roadway geometry and utility coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of civil experience or related field.
• Advanced understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D, with Bentley Design Platforms being a plus.
• Experience in roadway design, municipal and freeway in Arizona is required.
• Experience reading and interpreting utility records and schematics to build accurate base files.
• Experience preparing plan, profile, typical sections, details and cross-section sheets.
• Experience developing roadway geometry (horizontal/vertical alignments).
• Experience coordinating with survey, utility, ROW, and aerial data in plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist transportation design personnel in developing project designs and deliverables.
• Produce and check plan sets and digital deliverables for municipal and state projects.
• Develop roadway geometry and profiles; create cross-section sheets.
• Coordinate roadway plans with drainage, structures, and utilities.
• Support QC by delivering detailed plan sets across submittals.
