Job summary

Civicworks seeks a Roadway Data Analyst (Technical Manager III) to review and verify roadway inventory data for the Illinois Highway Information System and to maintain the linear referencing system to support GIS, state reporting, and Federal Highway Administration requirements.

The role collaborates with district staff and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, generates reports, and provides training on roadway inventory and GIS topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or data/GIS experience as alternative
• Experience with data regulations and compliance analysis is required
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook preferred
• Strong oral and written communication and problem solving
• Valid driver's license required

The Roadway Data Analyst (Technical Manager III) reviews and verifies roadway inventory data for the Illinois Highway Information System and maintains the linear referencing system to support GIS, state reporting, and Federal Highway Administration requirements. The role works with district staff and internal teams to ensure data accuracy, generates reports, and provides training on roadway inventory and GIS topics. Based in Springfield at the Department of Transportation's Office of Planning and Programming.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, GIS, computer science, or related field; or two years college plus two years data analysis/GIS experience; or six years relevant experience
• Strong computer skills with ESRI ArcGIS or other GIS systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to analyze federal and state data regulations for compliance
• Strong oral and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license required
