Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation's Big Spring Area Office is seeking Construction Inspectors at I–III level to oversee highway construction projects in the Big Spring area and surrounding counties. Qualifications

• Inspects construction methods and workmanship to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• May supervise or assist in overseeing inspection activities on projects of varying size.

Responsibilities

• Inspect roadways, bridges, traffic signals, and related structures for quality and safety.
• Provide consultant input on progress and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with contractors and licensed engineers as needed.
