Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a seasoned Foreman to lead field planning, coordination, and production of roadway construction activities. You will supervise crews, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating with the Superintendent on daily objectives.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of foreman experience in roadway projects, strong leadership, and a proven track record of managing labor, equipment, and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman working in roadway construction.
• Extensive knowledge of calculating and setting grades, and expertise in operating and managing roadway construction equipment and forming systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Certified in OSHA 10 standards.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and construction project management processes.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety policies and procedures, including reporting all accidents and near misses to uphold Safety as a core value.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work activities with the Superintendent to meet project objectives.
• Oversee and manage time sheets for labor and equipment with accurate daily reports and quantities.
• Review crew productivity and address performance to achieve daily goals.
• Enforce quality control standards and safety policies throughout all phases of work.
• Monitor the project construction schedule to keep tasks on time and within scope.
• Lead daily team huddles, conduct stretching, and run weekly toolbox talks for safety awareness.
• Perform job hazard analyses before starting new activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate to develop material handling plans supporting project workflow.
• Collect and submit delivery receipts to field engineers for accurate records.
