Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Miami, FL invites a Roadway Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support Roads & Highways staff with administrative tasks, data compilation, and construction plan preparation. You will collaborate with engineers on roadway plan production, perform drafting and CAD/ORD assignments under detailed guidance, and gain hands-on experience through Explore and Emerge programs.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into a Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Must be a Junior pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support to Roads & Highways Engineering staff.
• Collaborate with engineers on Roadway plan production tasks.
• Performs simple drafting and CAD/ORD assignments following detailed instructions.
• Assist in the compilation of design data and the preparation of construction plans.
