Job summary

Horrocks in Logan, UT is seeking an Engineer-In-Training for Roadway to support various transportation projects. You will assist Project Managers and Engineers with design tasks, interpret plans, and apply technical expertise within a collaborative team.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT, 0-4+ years of civil design experience, and passing the FE exam. Travel may be required; MicroStation ORD experience is preferred. Horrocks offers a competitive salary and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT
• 0-4+ years of experience in civil design
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
• Ability to travel and perform fieldwork
• Experience with MicroStation ORD or similar design software

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
• Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
• Apply technical expertise and work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
• Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities
• Adhere to safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
• Collaborate with the team to deliver accurate, error-free work
