Kimley-Horn in Chamblee, GA seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of roadway design experience to join the Roadway team. You will collaborate with design staff to develop efficient roadway layouts, prepare plans and cost estimates, and support construction with plan reviews and field oversight.

Qualified candidates hold a PE license (or can obtain within 12 months) and are proficient with Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, applying solid civil engineering principles and traffic

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience in roadway projects.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong knowledge of roadway design standards and traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team to develop roadway designs meeting regulations and specs.
• Assist in project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Select materials and prepare specifications for road construction and maintenance.
• Create alignments and geometry for roads and intersections.
• Obtain permits and approvals from authorities for roadway projects.
• Provide technical support during construction and review plans.
• Conduct inspections and quality control to ensure standards are met.
• Incorporate environmental considerations such as stormwater management.
