Egis is seeking a CEI Inspector in the Kansas market to observe and monitor field work, ensuring conformance to plans, specs, and contract documents. The role involves checking lines, grades, and elevations with standard equipment and reporting any issues to supervision.

You will work under the guidance of a Field Project Engineer or Senior Inspector, with potential night work. Candidates should have 4+ years of roadway/bridge inspection experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience inspecting roadway/bridge construction.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations (areas, volumes).
• Ability to read road and bridge construction plans.
• Certifications: Level 1B Hot Mix; ACI concrete field testing.
• Basic computer skills and documenting daily activities.

Responsabilités

• Observe and monitor field activities to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Check lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with standard field equipment.
• Monitor highway work zones and traffic control, report issues to supervisor.
• Test and/or sample materials as required.
• Document daily pay items and activities in Site Manager.
• Work under supervision of a Field Project Engineer or Senior Inspector.
• May include night shifts as needed.
