Job summary

Egis is seeking a CEI Inspector in the Kansas market. The role focuses on observing field activities, ensuring conformance to plans and specifications, and measuring lines, grades, and elevations with standard equipment.

You’ll document daily pay items and work under seasoned engineers on highway/bridge projects. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of roadway/bridge inspection, the Level 1B Hot Mix certification, ACI field testing, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in inspection of roadway/bridge construction.
• Read road and bridge construction plans.
• Certifications: Level 1B Hot Mix, ACI concrete field testing.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors field work activities to ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Checks lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with standard field measuring equipment.
• Monitors highway work zones and traffic control and reports issues to supervisor.
• Conducts tests and/or samples materials; documents daily activities in Site Manager.
• Works under supervision of a Field Project Engineer, Senior Inspector, or Resident Engineer.
• Performs additional duties, including night work as needed.
