Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a CAD Operator to join our Roadway team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. You will develop concepts and perform preliminary engineering as well as final design, producing detailed CAD drawings.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), 1+ year of relevant experience, and proficiency with Autodesk or Bentley products. You will work independently and with a team to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary engineering and final design for projects.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity and may perform multifaceted calculations.
• Requires minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Maintains drawing database and may supervise CAD staff.
• Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
