Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or vocational-technical school in a related field plus approx. 5–15 years of related work experience.
• Experience with CAD and market-specific design software; MicroStation and InRoads experience preferred; OpenRoads a plus.
• Familiarity with transportation design standards and agency requirements (DOT, municipal, or parish).
• Proficiency with computer systems and related software; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design support to the Project Manager by preparing layouts, detailed drawings, diagrams, and related project documentation.
• Assist with design and production of plans for roadway corridors, intersections, roundabouts, bridge approaches, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare project deliverables and assist with design solutions to meet project scope and standards.
• Collaborate with project team members; guide technicians on design software and workflows.
• Support quality, schedule, and budget adherence while staying current on industry practices.
