Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Project Manager for highway and bridge design in Florida. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive innovative roadway solutions, and ensure design quality as you deliver complex FDOT projects across multiple districts.

The role requires a Florida P.E. license and strong relationship-building with FDOT, clients, and internal teams, with a hybrid work model and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Current Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license with the ability to serve as Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Significant post‑graduate experience in transportation and highway engineering, including leading and managing roadway design projects.
• Experience with FDOT Districts 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7 and Florida Turnpike Enterprise projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex roadway projects to FDOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for highway and bridge design projects, including operational and safety improvements.
• Lead technical teams in developing solutions to complex roadway design challenges with innovation.
• Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts and standards.
• Ensure effective utilization of engineering personnel while maintaining high technical quality standards.
• Collaborate with business development and marketing to secure new projects and expand FDOT client relationships.
