Job summary

RK&K's Construction Engineering Inspection team in South Georgia is looking for a Construction Inspector to support highway, bridge, and design-build projects. You will perform field inspections, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with clients and agencies.

The role requires 3+ years of roadway/structure construction experience, GDOT inspections training, and the ability to supervise entry-level inspectors while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of roadway and structures construction experience.
• GDOT Training Group 1 and 2 completion.
• GDOT WECS and Field Concrete Certification.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts and construction plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring for safety compliance.
• Lead and evaluate routine and complex inspections on highway, bridge, design and design-build projects.
• Monitor and guide other inspectors on-site.
• Communicate effectively with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Interface with clients, agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects.
• Maintain records, perform materials testing, and prepare reports.
