Job summary

RK&K is hiring a construction inspector for interstate, roadway and bridge construction in the Salisbury, NC area. The role involves performing inspections on materials, processes, safety and documentation to ensure contractors conform to plans, specifications, and special provisions.

The position requires at least 2 years of inspection experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to prepare for the inspection
• Understand the design of the construction that will be inspected
• Document the results of the inspection and communicates to the supervisor
• Conduct field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation
• Inspect work zones for proper traffic control setup, erosion control devices and maintenance thereof, utility coordination and right-of-way issue resolution
