Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA to support field oversight of roadway, bridge, and drainage projects.

You will assist senior inspectors, review plans, monitor compliance, and document findings with electronic reports. This role requires a combination of education and experience as outlined in the qualifications, including GDOT certifications where possible, a valid US driver's license, and willingness to work night, holiday, or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 2 years' roadway and bridge inspection experience.
• Or an associate degree with 5 years' roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Or a high school diploma with 7 years' roadway/bridge inspection experience in state/highway agency roles.
• Must obtain GDOT certifications and pass related tests within 6 months.
• Basic proficiency in reading construction documents and using computers for reporting.
• Valid US driver's license required and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in performing construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct field audits of developer and ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems for conformance to project requirements.
• Observe and support verification of materials sampling and testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document inspection findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices in all construction activities.
