Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking CEI Inspectors to support roadway and bridge projects across North Carolina. You will perform daily field observations, document construction activities, track quantities, and maintain records to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.

The role requires a high school education or equivalent, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Proficiency with tablets/laptops and the ability to commute up to one hour are essential.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and interpret roadway plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Tablet, Laptop, or other electronic devices and software proficiently.
• Clean driving record; and ability to pass a drug screen.
• Ability to work all shifts outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to safely lift and transport up to 50 pounds of equipment traversing uneven and hilly terrain.
• Ability to commute up to one (1) hour from home or office daily.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a CEI Inspector on roadway and bridge projects and supports the Senior Inspector.
• Performs daily observations of construction work conformance with project plans and specifications.
• Performs field testing, documents construction activities, and tracks quantities of work items performed.
• Maintains appropriate records and prepares required reports.
• Performs other duties as required by the Senior Inspector, Project Administrator and Senior Project Engineer.
