Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a CEI Inspector for the Fort Pierce area to apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities for structural quality, safety, and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.

The successful candidate will perform field inspections, tests, and record-keeping while meeting FDOT requirements and maintaining compliance in a dynamic project environment. Immigration sponsorship is limited to TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of construction inspection experience, with at least one year in bridge/roadway work.
• FDOT experience required.
• Active driver’s license.
• Ability to earn required qualifications within six months.
• Must pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.
• Gathers and maintains record documents
• Makes field notes and computations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
