Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a CEI Inspector for the Fort Pierce area. The role requires interpreting plans and performing inspections to ensure quality and safety on construction projects. You will conduct tests on concrete and soils and maintain comprehensive field records.

The position calls for FDOT experience and the ability to obtain required CTQP certifications within six months, under Senior supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Two years of construction inspection experience; one year in bridge/roadway construction preferred.
• FDOT experience required.
• Must pass JMT Motor Vehicle screening.
• Ability to obtain CTQP certifications within six months.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods for compliance with laws and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment and elevation of structures and pavements.
• Gather and maintain record documents and field notes.
