Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Civil/CEI-focused professional to assist with construction inspection on transportation projects across roadways and bridges. You will maintain client relationships and help plan manpower, schedules, and field coordination.

The role supports ongoing business development, implementing CEI strategies, and staying current with industry methods. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, transportation, or Structural Engineering; 0 years; travel may be required.
• Equivalency of experience in lieu of degree considered.
• Domestic/international travel contingent on duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction inspection activities at transportation infrastructure projects (roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion & control, maintenance and traffic field sites).
• Maintain relationships with clients and contractors to ensure schedules and contract requirements are met.
• Estimate manpower needs, schedule, and assign work to meet deadlines set by client.
• Assist with coordination of field inspection staff work.
• Participate in new business development and maintain client relationships.
• Assist in developing and implementing new CEI strategies.
• Keep abreast of new methods affecting CDM Smith and recommend or implement changes.
