Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to respond to emergency tire failures at customer locations and to mount, repair, and inspect tires for commercial fleets. The role requires on-call availability and may involve after-hours service to keep fleets moving.

Responsibilities include mounting/dismounting tires, performing repairs and radial runout checks, and ensuring OSHA safety procedures are followed while supporting shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency tire-related failures at customer locations.
• Dismount and mount tires, including for commercial fleets.
• Perform tire repairs, match mounting, match-mating dual assemblies, and radial runout checks as needed.
• Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including proper PPE and tire cage use.
• Participate in a mandatory on-call rotation and respond to after-hours service requests, including evenings and weekends.
• Assist with orders, shop maintenance, and other general duties as required.
