Job summary
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to respond to tire failures for semi-truck fleets. Technicians travel to customer locations to repair or replace tires, with additional shop duties when calls are slow.
There is mandatory on-call rotation; after-hours calls receive premium pay. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, tuition assistance, time off, and tire discounts.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Preferred: Commercial tire experience
Responsibilities
- Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
- Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
- Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
- Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including proper PPE and tire cages.
