Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician to respond to tire-related emergencies for semi-truck fleets. You will be dispatched to customer locations to repair or change tires, often roadside, with duties that include mounting, dismounting, and tire maintenance.

Training is provided; experience isn’t required. The role includes an on-call rotation with after-hours service calls paid at double-time and potential bonuses for performance. Benefits are offered.

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.

Starting pay:$18.50-$20.00hourly. After Hours calls can pay up to $40.00/hr

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence:“An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets”. To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.

Experience isn't required for thisposition. You will be trained in any skills required

Shift Information

There is amandatoryon-call rotation. During a Technicians' on-call period, they are expected to run after-hours service callsat a 95% Accept rate, which includes weekends and nights. After-hours service calls are paid indouble-timewith a minimum of 2 hours per call!! An example being if a Technicians accepts, arrives, and completes a call in45minthey will receive anadditional 1 hr. 15 minof double time pay!!
