Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Roadside Technician in Bethlehem, PA. This role involves responding to emergency tire failures for semi-truck fleets and providing roadside service. Technicians will also assist in shop duties during downtime.

Job description

Starting Pay: $23 Hourly Pay. Any call after hours pays double time with a two hour minimum. Work Location: 2147 Avenue C, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

The role of the Roadside Technician is an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer experiences a tire-related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer’s location to repair or change the tire. The Technician is expected to be roadside during their job duties. During periods with no service calls pending, Technicians help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform other general duties as needed.

Basic Requirements

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous commercial service tire experience.

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

• Servicing commercial tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Performing match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including proper PPE usage, use of tire cages, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
