Job summary

Goodyear is seeking a Roadside Technician to provide emergency tire service to semi-truck fleets. Technicians are dispatched to customer locations to repair or replace tires, often working roadside to complete jobs efficiently.

During idle times, you may mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and perform general duties. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required for the position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience with tire servicing is a plus.

• Serve as an emergency roadside tire technician for semi-truck fleets.
• Respond to customer locations to repair or change tires.
• Work roadside during service calls and assist with mounting orders, shop cleanup and related duties.
• Participate in on-call rotation with premium pay for after-hours work.

Salary and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24- $28/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Shift Information

This position includes participation in a mandatory on-call rotation. During an assigned on-call period, Technicians are expected to respond to after-hours service requests—including evenings and weekends—with a high rate of acceptance. All after-hours service calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.

Role Overview

The role of the Roadside Technician position in our company can be broken down into one sentence: “An emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets”.

To elaborate a bit further; when a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed.

Experience isn't required for thisposition. You will be trained in any skills required

About the Role

What skills will you learn?

• Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing any type of tire.
• Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary.
• Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
• Complying with OSHA regulations and safety requirements including; how wear proper PPE, use tire cages, and follow all other safety policies and procedures.
