Job summary

AECOM is seeking full-time CHAMP Operators in the District 3 area (Thomaston, GA). The role involves patrolling interstate roadways, assisting stranded motorists, and reporting road conditions. Starting pay is $20 per hour, with on-site duties and company-provided equipment.

Ideal candidates have solid mechanical or automotive repair skills, driving experience, and a safety-focused attitude. Must be willing to be on-call 24/7 and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or 1 year of relevant work experience).
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must pass background checks and drug screen.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• patrol and monitor interstate roadways for stranded motorists and hazards.
• communicate with dispatch via radio with clarity and professionalism.
• assist motorists with dead batteries, out of gas, or flat tires.
• ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws.
• document roadway deficiencies and report to Dispatch or District offices.
