Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of tenth grade level education required.
• One year of experience in operating heavy equipment and performing manual labor, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License and a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy equipment used in construction, maintenance and repair.
• Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance and repair of roads, landfills, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Transports, loads, and unloads equipment and materials.
• Monitors gauges and reports faulty equipment; performs basic maintenance.
