Qualifications

• Completion of tenth grade level education required.
• One year of experience operating heavy equipment and performing manual labor.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License.
• Required to possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy equipment used in construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Performs manual work functions associated with construction, maintenance and repair of county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Transports, loads, and unloads various equipment and materials used in projects.
• Monitors equipment gauges and other indicators; reports faults and performs basic repairs.
• Performs general maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition.
