Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction inspection or related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Calculates payments due contractors for work completed.
• Coordinates inspections with district project managers and inspectors.
• Consults with engineers, residents and contractors on progress and problems.
• Ensures compliance with plans, specs and safety requirements.
• Monitors traffic control and airport closure plans as applicable.
• Observes and inspects ongoing construction work.
• Prepares monthly and final estimates.
• Documents progress and resolves interpretation differences.
